Life Begins When You Do!

An excerpt from
Life Begins When You Do
by Mary Anne Radmacher
It's up to you to make choices that work best for you. It really is all within your point of view. Regret is a matter of perspective. If you like who you are NOW, it follows that you can embrace, without regret, all the choices that led you here.
Difficulties impact me—they do not define me.
Challenges mold me—they do not make me.
Praise may encourage me—it is my own vision that inspires me.
Successes may spur me on but it is my own reward that satisfies me.
Pain may permeate but my heart and hope prevail.
Criticism and pettiness may knock but the lock is on my side of the door.
Abundance may pave the road but it is generosity that lights the way.
As long as I'm breathin'—I'm livin'.
My way. Beginning every fresh moment—now!

3 Reasons to Pay Attention to What You Are Eating

What I know today is that we abuse our bodies.  Many of us are probably not even aware that we are doing it.  I am guilty as well, but I am beginning to become a lot more conscious of what I am putting in my mouth.  What you put in your mouth, is your bodies fuel source.  It is a fuel source that can be like a slow poison, or a medicine to keep us strong and healthy.

1) Energy

When you are eating the right foods your body is now given the proper nutrients to sustain your energy levels through out the day. You are what you eat!  If you are inputting a poor energy source your body has to put it's energy into cellular repair. Eating whole foods will give you sustained energy until your next snack or meal. The key is the less processed the better!

Pay attention after you eat to how you feel.  As you become more aware you will notice which foods will make you feel sleepy and lethargic after a meal and which ones will leave feeling energized.

2) Health

Did you know that Heart Disease is actually reversible? I didn't know this until I saw a Dr. Oz episode where he had Dr. Dean Ornish on his program. You can actually reverse a 99%blocked artery to a healthy one in three simple steps:
30 minutes of walking each day
Meditation and De-Stress min 15 min per day
Eat a diet rich in Vegetable and Fruits and reduce animal fats to only 10%

Type 2 Diabetes - This is another common disease that I discovered has been documented and proven reversible. Dr. Ray Strand has a book called Healthy for Life. Has over 50 + documented cases of completely reversing type 2 diabetes. No more meds and no indication diabetes ever existed in these people's bodies.

Lower Blood Pressure - We are eating foods that are inflammatory to our bodies. When there is inflammation that is a sure indicator that our body is in repair mode. Why do we eat foods that cause damage to our bodies and then has to expend that energy in repair mode? Seems silly doesn't it?

Lower Cholesterol - Our bodies produce plaque when damage is done to our arterial walls. It is sort of like a putty that repairs holes made from the damaging effects of eating inflammatory foods Click here for top 10 list.

3) Mental Clarity

When we eat sugar it goes straight into our blood stream it is a pure energy source.  What happens though is our blood sugars rise too quickly and then our pancreas has to kick in insulin to bring those levels back within a safe range.  Insulin is a fat storage hormone.  If you are getting thick around the middle this could be the culprit!  Learn more about eating Low Glycemic to shrink your spare tire!

There is getting to be more and more research that sugar makes us forgetful and affects our brains.  There is also research showing that Alzheimers is diabetes of the brain.  I know that when I have too much of it I lose my concentration and it affects my moods.  It can even create anxiety for me and that is a form of fear.  It isn't fun when I am feeling this way, so I choose to stay away from it as much as I can.  Sugar is also highly addictive.

Final Thoughts

This article is not to scare you, but to empower you.  I want people to really start thinking about what they are doing when they eat food.  Just because food like products are on a grocery store shelf, does not mean we should be buying and consuming these products.  I want to empower you to think about what you are doing to your body.  That body needs to be with you for a long long time.  You can't trade it in for a new one.

If you were handed the keys to a car when you turned 16 and were told it was the only car you would ever have.  How would you treat it?  What type of fuel would you put into it?  What would you do to maintain it?  Guess what?  This is the only body you will ever have!

Are you giving it the exercise it needs? What about recharge time?   Your body recharges when you give it the rest it requires (the best time for your body to do it's cellular repair is during sleep).  Are you around people who nourish, accept and support you?  Are you doing things that make you feel good inside?  These are all factors that affect your body through your mind/body connection.  Stress management is imperative, because what the mind is focused on the body always reflects.

Your body has a miraculous ability to repair itself.  Just think about when you cut yourself.  It takes care of it for you.  When we have illness or disease the body is trying to tell us that we are not giving it what it needs in order to repair itself.  We need to figure out what the source is.  I know for a fact that all disease is reversible, if you can identify the source.  If you picked at a cut and took away the scab every day, it wouldn't heal.  Eating the wrong foods is similar to this.  It can be like taking a wire brush each day to the inside of your body.

The less processed something is the more nutrition it will have.  Boxed and packaged means long shelf life.  The reason it has a long shelf life is because it doesn't have nutrients in it, they have been processed out.  It is the nutrients in food that makes them go bad quickly.

Do yourself a favour, start with small changes, be conscious of what fuel sources you are feeding your body.  Before you eat it - ask yourself, is this going to fuel my body or deplete it?

Stay healthy my friends!

Struggling? The Answer is Closer Than You Think!

What I know Today is that source energy, the universe, God whatever you like to call your higher power is in communication with you constantly.  We are simply extensions of that source.  The Question is are you listening?  There are signs all around us, but many times we are not paying attention.

If there is something you are struggling with right now in your life - ask for guidance, and see what shows up!  It can come in so many ways so long as you are open to receiving the answers.  It might show up in the words of a song, or a conversation that someone is having in the check-out line.

I have a girlfriend who has been having troubles with doors lately and she asked me about what that could mean?  So I said to her let's think about this for a minute, what is the purpose of doors?

Doors are about transitioning from one place to another.  I told her I felt that there was a block to do with transition in life.  I also felt that it was resistance in moving forward for fear of doing what is right for her and instead she is thinking of everyone else first.  It makes perfect sense for where she is at in her life right now.

So when you are noticing things happening like dropping things or things falling on the floor pay attention to what it means to you.  It does't matter what it means to anyone else but you.  What is YOUR interpretation?  If you need to you can ask others it may provide some clarity for you if you are really feeling stuck.

Issues with your body?  There are messages here too!  Knee pain?  This is about moving forward in your life and some resistance or fear around moving forward.  Eye issues?  What is it that you don't want to see in your life?  Issues with your back could mean you are not standing up for yourself - no back bone.

Think about the body part and what the function does for the body and then look outward to see what the correlation is in the events in your life.

We all have wisdom within us, we just need to learn how to listen to it.  The answers really are within us, they always have been!  Learn to pay attention, it will help you live your life with more ease.

We are never alone, and sometimes we forget to ask for help from the higher realms, so go ahead - ask, and see what miracles come!

You are awesome, believe in yourself and know that you are perfect as you are!  Keep being you, because who you are makes a difference to everyone around you.  But first you must love and believe in yourself!

Much love!

Everybody is a Genius!

There is a quote by Albert Einstein that everyone should know and remember.

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”
 Albert Einstein

We judge ourselves by other people's abilities rather than looking within to see what our unique abilities are.  This causes great pain and suffering within, especially when we are comparing ourselves to someone who is the complete opposite to ourselves.

We all have a unique gift to share with the world.  You have gifts, talents and abilities that are unique to only you.  That uniqueness can then be shared to help unlock others.  Look within, and find what your strengths are, let go of the weaknesses, as everyone has them.  Just like there is good and bad in every situation, it is what you choose to focus on that brings that energy of it alive.

What is your genius?  Do it your way, what feels right to you.  It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, you must first believe in yourself.  Whatever it is - it should bring you joy and bring up your energy.  If it is draining you that is a sure sign that something isn't right.

Stop looking at the weaknesses and focus on your strengths.  What dreams do you have?  Are you ready to switch your focus?  You are a genius, but first you must look within to discover what your genius is.  I believe in you, and so should you!

From Whispers to Screams

What I know today is that sometimes in life there are little whispers that we hear.  But are we really listening?  You might be wondering what I mean by this.  Have you ever had a feeling about something, but because you didn't know where it was coming from you chose not to listen?  Then the whisper came again and you still didn't listen?  Then you discover that what you were feeling was right, and you ask yourself "Why didn't I listen?"

Everything is energy in our World and Universe.  Our bodies, too, are energy and have the amazing ability to sense things, and we must learn to trust those senses.  Many accept that animals have a sixth sense, but when it comes to humans it is thought to be crazy that we too can sense things!

You are very intuitive but have not been taught how to listen.   If you want more ease in your life it is important to start listening to that intuition more.  The more you listen and trust it the stronger it will get.  It is what guides us to where we are supposed to be.  It guides us to what is right for us in what we want for ourselves and where we are headed on our life path.

Animals never second guess theirs - if they sense danger, they bolt!  I think that we need to be the same way in our relationships and all the areas of our lives.  Just listen and trust that it is guiding you to what is right for you and your journey!

In my experience so far if we don't listen to the whispers the information can become screams, and when that happens it is usually a more serious situation.  So learn to trust yourself and listen to the whispers.  My promise to you is that this WILL help you live with more ease and grace in your life.

YOU Have the Answer!

What I know today is that sometimes in life it is easy to identify our problems!  Often where we tend to get stuck is on the problem which then blocks us from finding solutions.  Here is what I have discovered.  When we stay focused on the problem it stops all solutions from reaching our minds!  Similar to being closed minded - other options won't seem possible.

When you switch your thinking and mindset to finding, or looking for a solution doors open that otherwise may not have.  Here is an example.  I called my husband one day and I could tell he was frustrated.  When I asked him what was wrong, he said that the new program he was in the process of learning wasn't putting out the right results, and it had been a constant issue.  So I told him instead of looking at the problem, I wanted him be open to finding the solution.  He literally called me within 5 minutes saying he had figured out what he was doing wrong.  He had suffered with this problem for several days and with a simple change in his focus it was resolved within minutes!

Exercise:

So take a moment to identify something recent that you have identified as a problem in your life.  Now take a few deep breaths and clear your mind.  Be open to seeing solutions come to you to help rectify the current situation.  Relax your body and be open to receiving the answer even if you don't know how or where the solution will come from.  Ask yourself what the solution is to this situation.  Allow your mind to be open to receiving.  Now let it go and forget about it.  Usually what will happen, is when you least expect it, the answer will pop into your head!  Take a deep breath now and know that - all is well...
